History
A little anecdote from our origins to the present:
1903
The company was founded by Martin Schubert at Annaberg, Erzgebirge.
1912
The early death of the founder of the company was his son, continued Hans Wilhelm Schubert. The company grew steadily through new products within the lighting industry and employed at that time 60 employees and 150 home workers.
1935
Construction of factory building in Annaberg, Erzgebirge.
1945
Through the chaos of war of World War II and the occupation of the Erzgebirge by the Soviet occupying power, maintaining one's business operations was no longer guaranteed. Hans Wilhelm Schubert and son Gerd Karl M. Schubert decide to rebuild the company in the West. It was a difficult decision, the old home with a suitcase in his hand to leave.
1952
The operations in Moenchengladbach, Wickrather 17-19 starts. The result is a wholesale lighting fixtures. Within only two years, the sales network was expanded to the whole of Germany, serving more than 450 specialty stores.
1965
The era of cutthroat competition of the supermarkets and retailers begin.
from 1970
The first full-service supermarkets are supplied. The business with the supermarkets was a huge success within the company's history.
from 1973
Gerd Karl M. Schubert performs with his son, Bernd M. Schubert, the company.
1985
by and by direct sales was converted to the final consumer. The exhibition area was expanded square meters to 800.
2010
Today the company is one of the few lamps specialty stores throughout Germany with its own tradition and expertise.
